Donkey hiking, an adventure made for families
Setting off on a hike with young children often means juggling the desire for adventure with the reality on the ground: tired legs, bags that are too heavy, attention that fades after two hours. The donkey changes all that.
From age 3, children can ride on the donkey's back and enjoy the scenery from up high, effortlessly. The animal carries the luggage, freeing up parents and making the walk easy for the whole group. And above all, the donkey fascinates children: they look after him, feed him, learn to guide him. It is a responsibility that naturally draws them in.
Our family circuits are built around children's pace: stages of 8 to 15 km depending on ages, with swimming breaks in the Gardon rivers in summer, stops to observe the Cévennes wildlife, and nights in welcoming gîtes where the big dinner table creates lasting memories.
